2003-05-07 - 2:06 p.m. I'm a loser. Heh. Funny. Today has been one hell of a waste. I woke up around 10:30. That felt wonderful. I'm usually up @ 7. I watched some news. I checked the mail. A dozen times. I'm expecting that letter from Josh, you know. No letter. When I wait for a letter, it takes years. When I don't expect to get one soon, BOOM. It's here. I hate waiting on mail. I ordered some shirts & stickers & all sorts of stuff from Drive Thru Records, like, 8 days ago. The stuff still isn't here. I checked the tracker on it on UPS.com & it is STILL in Vernon, Ca. It's been there since May 1st. I need my shit! I never told you about my shopping trip last Sunday? Let me do that. I met Isaac @ the mall here @ 11 or so. I picked him up & headed out of town. It is over an hour to Lafayette, but it seemed to take no time. We listened to cd's & laughed & shared stories about sex & school & work. We got to Lafayette, & the traffic wasn't too bad until we hit Ambassador Caffry. That took about 30 min. to get through. Finally we get to Johnston & it was a clear shot to the mall. I parked by Dillards so that we could go in & return some Clinique & I could buy some M.A.C stuff. The Dillard's there makes me sick. The one I work @ is poo next to this one. We go do what we need to @ the Clinique counter. I go buy some eyeshadows, lipsticks, blush, scrub, & perfume from M.A.C. I wanted some really cute black shoes, but I wasn't about to drop $90 just yet. We walk to Hollister, I bought some shirts there. Go into Abercrombie, bought a shirt there. Go to Hot Topic & I bought a Deftones shirt, a DVD w/ Dashboard & Get Up Kids & Rival School videos & footage on it. I bought a car freshner w/ The Used on it. I got buttons w/ Jimmy Eat World, Sparta, GlassJaw, The Ataris & Fenix Tx. The guy checking me out was flirting w/ me. Would have been alright, except he was all of 17. I wanted this belt w/ silver studs on it, but I put it up. We went to Olive Garden. We ate. Oh how we ate. We had calamari that was out of this world. I ordered the Chicken Portabella, but only ate a corner of it. I had these Peach Bellini's that were amazing. I had 4, & they had rum & all sorts of goodness in them. Yeah. Errrrr. I was laughing. Alot. We get back into the car & head back to the mall b.c. we didn't get everything we wanted. I got some cropped pants from Banana Republic. Isaac had a field day @ Abercrombie & Express. We left & went to Best Buy. We looked @ the Plasma Tv's. Nice. I bought the new Senses Fail cd. We then went to Starbucks & sat around & talked about books & writers. After that we just got into the car & headed home. It rained some on the way home. But the entire day was just....nice. I didn't want to come back home. It felt so good to just be away all day. Almost like a mini-vacation. We are going to Biloxi in June. That will be fun. Hell. I want to go to Florida. Eff Mississippi. That's too close to home. I should go get ready for work. 5-9. Gross. My hours are going to be so shitty this week.
